Description

Parkland County has a seasonal position available for an Equipment Operator III. Reporting to the Drainage Foreman, you will be required to assist in the delivery of the Drainage Maintenance Program and Construction Projects throughout the County. You will also be required to perform a variety of labour related duties as part of the drainage crew. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an asset.  This seasonal position work approximately March to December every year.

The ideal candidate would have the following:

• Experience operating a variety of medium to heavy duty equipment used in road/drainage maintenance and construction with emphasis on excavator and crawler tractor operation.
• Knowledge in the use of various types of grade stakes.
• Good communication skills and ability to deal with the public.
• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Q endorsement or the ability to acquire within 60 days of hiring.
• Alberta Class 1 Driver’s License with Q endorsement would be an asset.

The total rewards package for this position includes:

An hourly rate of pay of $36.45 based on 40 hours per week working 9 months out of the year.
