Description
Parkland County has a causal Facility Attendant position available stationed at the Entwistle Community Recreation Centre working from approximately May 1 to September 9, 2023, for shift coverage for evenings and weekends. Reporting to the Supervisor, Recreation & Culture, the Facility Attendant is responsible for enhancing the customer experience by providing general support to customers at the Entwistle Community Recreation Centre. This is a hands-on position that may be required to work flexible hours to ensure the fulfillment of patron requirements, smooth operation of the facility and overall enhancement of the customer experience. The Facility Attendant will strive to provide prompt and courteous service as a first point of contact to the public by responding to telephone, email and walk-in inquiries and will handle a variety of transactions, including point of sale, registrations, facility bookings, issuing of permits, receiving complaints, and processing payments. This position requires excellent customer service skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve in a fast paced, customer-centric environment.
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post-secondary course work in business administration, recreation administration or related is an asset.
- Experience working in a Municipal Government, Recreation Facility or an administrative role would be considered an asset.
- Standard First Aid with CPR C is considered an asset.
- Criminal record check, including vulnerable sector clearance and child intervention record check is required to be provided.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
- Able to complete tasks independently of direct supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn and adapt to new programs quickly.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
The total rewards package for this position includes:
An hourly rate of pay of $22.74 to $28.43 with hours of work as required working primarily evenings and weekends.
